My life changed directions about a year ago; new city, new business, new outlook. One thing that I have not found enough time for in all this change is creativity. I will be blogging about all of the things I make, whenever I find the time to make them.
Other things about me:
I have a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Counseling and Educational Psychology.
I generally prefer to be outside.
I have a golden retriever named Chunk. He was named after Chunk from The Goonies; when I got him I had big plans to teach him to do the truffle shuffle, but that never came to be. He does what he wants.
Here are some of the things I’d like to do with my life in no particular order:
Bike the loop at Yellowstone | Go on a backpacking camping trip | Go stand-up paddle boarding | Make a quilt | Set foot on every continent: 1. Africa 2. Antarctica 3. Asia 4. Australia 5. Europe 6. North America 7. South America | Have a hand-colored wedding portrait done (like my Grandma’s) | Take a cruise | Stay in an over-the-water bungalow | Visit all 58 National Parks: 1. Grand Canyon, 2. Grand Teton, 3. Yellowstone, 4. Mesa Verde, 5. Carlsbad Caverns, 6. Death Valley, 7. Petrified Forest, 8. Hot Springs, 9. Red Woods, 10. Saguaro | See a show on Broadway | Own a home | Complete a family photo album | Go skiing | Get a passport | Get a blog sponsor | Take dance lessons | Be a mom | Take a helicopter flight over a volcano | Go zip lining | Swim in the Dead Sea | Master the five mother sauces | See the Northern Lights | Go whale watching | See a glacier | Go salmon fishing in Alaska | Take each of my parents to the Redwoods | Build a tree house | Go surfing | Go clamming | Love my body | Hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon | Go geocaching | Watch Saturday Night Live live | Teach a craft project to a group | Celebrate my 50th wedding anniversary | Make cheese | Make beer | Love every item in my wardrobe | Contribute to another blog | Start a family tradition | Compile a cookbook of recipes I love and actually cook | Feel comfortable shooting a handgun | Go to an outdoor movie | Take a Polar Bear plunge | Be proficient with power tools | Sell a painting | Swim underneath a waterfall | Do a 365 day photo project | Spend a week jet skiing with my dad | Build a teardrop camper | Make a house a home | Hike to Machu Picchu | See a Pyramid | Explore all 19 Smithsonian Museums | Gamble on a riverboat | Host a Thanksgiving | Master baking yeast bread
